King William Hammershot

William's Matchlock carbine is enchanted with ancient Elven accuracy enchantments making it have a strange over accuracy that would be otherwise impossible.



Hammer of the Great crusader.



The Dwarven made hammer of king Adrian II it was reclaimed by Arkin in the Dwarven mines and returned to king Hammershot its rightful owner.

Dagger

William's Dagger is a well crafted Dwarven blade made from star metal from a meteor that fell from orbit into the castle courtyard years ago



Spada da Lato (side sword)
William's Side sword is also made from star metal it is a light weight blade that is easy to maneuver.




Zweihander
William's Zweihander is actually not made of metal it was carved from the horns of the Dragon Thorog who attempted to raise a dragon army to destroy all of Dragon-Fall it is as strong as Mithril and as sharp as the keenest blades.



Armor
William's armor is crafted from mithril infused Dwarven steel making it hard enough to resist even Arquebus shots.



King William Hammershot is know as the builder king. Under his reign the army was modernized to the best available technology and tactics. He built the great Fortress of Crowhaven and built the Dragon-Fall Armada. He is a competent warrior never afraid to take the field with his men he trains tirelessly to keep his skills honed. He led his army to many victories against barbarians and corsairs and quelled the great rebellion with out firing a single shot.

Hair: Light brown
Eyes: Green

Jack is the only son of the king, he is a bastard son as the king never married or even showed interest in women for that matter. How ever it is likely the king found a woman to father a child just to continue the line. Jack has been called the most beautiful man in the kingdom for good reason girls swoon when he walks past and many men even have to turn away flustered. Jack himself has near genius level intellect and is a grand tactician. He learned sword play from Arkin and His father and is as fine a warrior as any man in the kingdom.

Jack's Zweihander is forged from solid mithril it is light weight and fast moving it would be nigh impossible to shatter the blade. It is also embedded with ice runes giving it a cold sting when it hits its target.

Zirak-Zigil is a mithril axe forged in the Dwarven mines that were overrun by Orcs. It was carried by the Dwarf king Rothar Ironhand and has now been reclaimed by Arkin Ironshanks.

The Dwarven High Lord is elected by the Dwarven populace to represent them in the government in all but name he is king of the Dwarves for life after his election. While he must still Answer to the king he has the second most power in the kingdom. Arkin has been Dwarven high lord for 50 years he was Elected late in the reign of the previous ruler Adrian VII the Father of king William Hammershot.

Arkin is a even tempered and wise man. He has pulled the Dwarves out of their decline and could if he chose form a kingdom of his own but he like most of the Dwarves think as they did 600 years ago when men first arrived, there is more strength in being united. Arkin is a renown warrior and trained the young king Hammershot in the ways of sword play and statesman ship.

Captain Rothar Firefoot



Captain of the Dwarven Iron Guard Rothar is a member of the Firefoot clan. He gained fame fighting the renegade Dwarven Dourhand clan. In one battle he led a unit of the iron guard against a Dourhand war party that out numbered his men 3 to one and emerged with out a single casualty.

Equipment:

Skull Smasher: Skull Smasher is Rothar's Dwarven war hammer it is crafted out of Dwarven steel and carries a lightning enchantment when it strikes a target it blast it target with an electric pulse and make as sound like a clap of thunder. The lightning can leap from target to target if Rothar charges his essence into the swing but this will leave him fatigued and could potentially kill him.

Guardians heart:
Rothar's armor is enchanted with runes that resist elemental magic and increases his stamina. It also seems to have the strange ability to inspire nearby troops.

The captain of the rangers and their founder this man is a legend amongst the people. In his Lifetime Carthean has killed hundreds of orcs, trolls, giant spiders, Ogres, Dragons and Giants. He is a master of the Steelbow his marksmanship is almost uncanny it is said that he could hit a orc in the eye from half a mile away while blindfolded. While a ridiculous notion he is indeed an impressive archer and a skilled swordsman.

One of the famous Dragonfallese steelbows this mans bow has felled more creatures than some men will see in their lifetime.

Shiv & Shank



A pair of keen Elven daggers that are incredibly sharp and useful for quietly killing foes.

Broadsword



A simple but effective broadsword.

Cloak of chameleon

A rare cloak that breaks up the wearers silhouette and changes its color and pattern to suit the environment. It is unknown were Carthean acquired this cloak he has forgotten himself but believes it likely he took it as loot from some monsters lair.


Drake hide armor.

Carthean wears armor made from leather acquired from the wings of an Ice drake he slew. It is as hard as Dwarven steel and only slightly heavier than most leather armor. He wears a suit of light mail under his armor to provided extra protection from the villainous creatures he often fights.

The mask of the eagle

This mask has the uncanny ability to enhance ones eyesight.

The ring of feather foot.

Another one of the odd trinkets acquired from the lair of some beast this ring makes the wearers foot steeps nearly silent allowing him to pass by almost entirely unnoticed.

Drogoth



Height, 40 feet
Length, 60 feet.
Eyes red.

Weapons: Claws, Fire breath, Tail, Teeth


Drogoth is the last of the great dragons of the Northern Mountains they were driven to near extinction by the golden horde but he was saved by the Forces of King Adrian IV and he pledged his service to the kings of Dragon-Fall for as long as he lived. Drogoth has become a valued member of King Hammershot's counsel having centuries of wisdom to impart he has become a close friend and is a great asset to the kingdom.

Infantry

Arquebusiers



The Arquebus is the next stage in development after the crude hand guns of yore. The Arquebus however is far safer has better range and is more accurate. The Dragon-Fall military uses arquebuses with tight fitting balls and standardized calibre as well as a matchlock mechanism this makes them more accurate but the drawback is that they can only fire about six shots before they are either clogged with powder or overheated.

Halberdiers



The Halberd is rapidly replacing the pike as the favored anti Calvary weapon of the Army the halberds effectiveness against infantry and Cavalry make it a far more well rounded tool of war.

Sword and Buckler men



Superior swordsmen wearing light armour and an open helmet, and armed with a double-edged sword and buckler.
Renowned for their swordsmanship, these infantrymen are protected by good light armour and an open helmet. Armed with a metal buckler shield and a double-edged, razor sharp Erebor made sword. These swordsmen are capable of breaking pike formations and wreaking havoc amongst less well armed and trained companies. They do however, need to be wary of heavy cavalry.

Zweihanders



These well trained warriors are protected by plate armour and wield a mighty two-handed sword.
Literally meaning "two hander's," in Dragonfallese, in reference to the grip needed to wield their massive swords. Zweihanders are very heavily armored foot soldiers who can cut a bloody swathe through nearly all infantry they will encounter. This company is deployed by the Kingdom of Dragon-Fall and often forms the vanguard when assaulting enemy battle lines.

Crossbowmen



Skilled crossbow marksmen in light brigandine armor they are slowly being phased out of the regular army but at the moment serve as an effective skirmish force. The crossbow was once the easy weapon to equip and train a militia with but now with the advent of the arquebus that is no longer the case for even a child can effectively use an arquebus.

Pikemen



Pikes serve two purposes to keep cavalry at bay and to serve as projectile shields for the Arquebusiers. The pike became the favored weapon against the golden horde and its great armies of horsemen. In the recent history of Dragon-Fall more men have probably died to the pike and the gun than any other weapons.

Highland Nobles



Shock soldiers wielding a large two-handed sword and armoured in chain.
These are the clan leaders and their kinsfolk from the highlands and isles of Dragon-fall. Although their mail armour and helmets are better than the common folk can aspire to, their equipment is scarcely comparable to that of the nobility from more prosperous lands further south. Nevertheless, their fighting spirit and vicious two handed swords mean that they command respect on the battlefield.


Merchant Militia



Rich Merchant volunteers in the military well equipped and decently trained the make effective heavy infantry.

Light cavalry that use one of two tactics flank harassment with volleys of fire or standing behind a line of Arquebusiers and firing over them using the extra height granted to them by their horses to effectively double the lines fire power per volley.

Knights are Heavy cavalry men in full plate armor on armored horse wielding lances. These knights are of no knightly order but feudal land owners who fight for the army.

Hussars are light cavalry on swift horses wearing light armor and carrying lances and sabres they are agile deadly horsemen usually used for surprise strikes flank harassment or running down skirmish troops and fleeing enemies.

Grand Bombard



These massive siege guns are designed to smash castle walls. Being incredibly expensive to produce and difficult to move these guns are very uncommon only a few exist but when they do appear in a siege an opponent can be sure that their walls are no longer a safe place.

Culverin



The standard cannons for the army these guns are useful against troops and castles. Dragon-Fall recently standardized all of its guns calibers this solved a great logistical nightmare with ammunition.

Monster Ribault



the Ribault is a series of gun barrels mounted on a wagon firing a series of steel stakes or ball shots in a barrage. It is inaccurate at all but very close range but the sheer number of projectiles ensure that the volley will be at least semi effective. Ribaults take a long time to reload as each barrel has to be reloaded 1 by 1.

Small and compact cannons that are easy to haul through tight tunnels and assemble in the field the fire a shot that weighs about 7lbs.

Elite Units

Hollow Steel Marksmen



These men are some of the few archers still in Dragon-Fall's army wearing plate armor and carrying a shield broadsword and the legendary Steelbow a powerful weapon that in the hands of elite marksmen such as these can be used to devastating effect do to the heavy draw of the steelbow it has a slower rate of fire than a normal longbow but it has longer range better accuracy and penetration. Due to the immense strength it takes to draw a steelbow and the difficulty of crafting them there are only about 400 of them in the army.

Dragon-Fall Rangers



The rangers are tasked to patrol the kingdom and police its borders it would be difficult to slip across the border without being caught by these elite trackers and warriors. They carry steelbows and swords and are masterful fighters with both. They hunt the forests for giant spiders trolls and Orcs as well as being used as a stealthy scout force for the King. These men are said to disappear in the heat of battle their enchanted cloaks hiding them and allowing them to ambush any enemy. They are Equipped with a steelbow that has similar penetrating power to a Arbalest. They also equipped with two handed axes and long swords. The rangers number about 300 men and don't often serve as part of military campaigns only being drawn in when a need for skilled trackers and ambushers is required.

Iron Guards



Iron guards are some of the greatest swordsmen in the kingdom rivaled only by the Kings Men and the Verlorene Haufe. Carrying round sheilds and broadswords and wearing the best heavy armor these stalwart troops should not be underestimated. Their Armor is enchanted to resist elemental magic and gives them great stamina. The Iron Guard are 500 men from drawn up from Erebor and the Surrounding Dwarven cites

Axe men of Erebor



Elite heavy infantry from the Great Dwarven city In the mountains directly next to their human neighbors. Numbering about 500 and being equipped with heavy lamellar armor made of Mithril infused Dwarven steel and wielding two handed axes crafted with the same metal. These units are usually composed of veterans and have extensive skill in battle.

Fire Drakes



the last brood of the fire drakes these Dragons are about twice as big than a horse there are only 12 of them left in the kingdom. they now patrol the skies of Dragon-Fall and often take riders as long range messengers to other kingdoms

Lesser Fire Drakes



Lesser Fire drakes are small fire breathing dragons about as large as your average horse they are sentient and are used as shock troops by Dragon-Fall. Some men who have befriended these dragons will some times ride them into battle.

Kings Men





These Elite warriors clad in Mithril plate armor serve as the kings personal body guard every one of them has taken an oath to their lord. In battle they can be used as supremely effective shock troops they also are versed in holy healing magic. The kings guard consists of 40 or so loyal warriors.

Verlorene Haufe



hese desperate men are armed with a massive two-handed sword and thick armour.
Verlorene Haufe are comprised of prisoners, disgraced nobles and volunteers desperate for glory. Their job is to lead the first and usually fatal charge used to break up enemy pike formations. The Forlorn Hope are heavily armoured and wield massive "zweihander" swords. These companies are vicious assault soldiers who can chop a man into bloody pieces. These men have nothing left to loose and there in lies their strength if they gain enough renown in battle they are give pardon or glory by the king.

Dragon's Reach Pistoliers



This all volunteer regiment comes from war veterans from Dragon's Reach it consists of about 50 men clad in plate armor carrying a brace of pistols and a broadsword into battle.

Eastern Lancers



These men from the Eastern Kingdom are the finest Cavalry in the Kingdom. Coming from the hot lands to the east these stalwart warriors form elite cavalry divisions each about 50 strong.

Great Tiger Riders



the great tigers of east have always been great hunter but some bold men have been able to tame them these elite few have become a terrifying force on the battlefield. only about 50 of these men exist currently due to the incredible difficulty of taming the great tigers.

Order of the Dagger




This order is as old as the kingdom they have ever served as assassin's spies and secret police for the kings of Dragon-Fall king Hammershot is no different. Skilled in hand to hand combat stealth and archery these men hunt traitors of the kingdom guard the king from the shadows and catch spies. They wear special leather armor theat is enchanted to match their surroundings they are also skilled in combat when using a sword and dagger simultaneously.

Elder Bronze Guards



Old veterans from Bazvir these men carry halberds into battle and wear armor made out of Bazvir bronze a strong compound that is a hard as Dwarven steel. This division has been around since the time of the Khan it has one of the most stellar combat records amongst all the Dwarves when ever these 130 men take the field all other troops around them feel inspired.

Golden Hammerguard



Well equipped warriors from Bazvir these troops are the most resilient men of the Bazvir mountains. Wearing armor made from the rare gold steel these Dwarves are veterans of the orc wars of Bazvir. Being battle hardened and fearsome warriors there are only about 140 of these men.

Knightly orders

there are several Orders of knights in Dragon-Fall some are sword to guard the king. Others swear to protect the people. And some even pledge them selves to protecting the ancient lore. But when their king puts out the call to arms the come in force to serve their nation

Knights de Achion



Knights of the City of Achion these men first rose to guard the city from the armies of the Golden Khan now they are tasked with protecting the rights of the people. They are a poorer knight order and field only about 100 men but they are well equipped with plate armor and heavy war hammers that they use to crush even heavily armored foes.

Shaken Stones



The Shaken Stone knights are a small order dedicated to serve the mason guild the great builders of cites fortresses and the Imperial highway. They wear plate armor carry shields and broad sword and often fight under ground against orcs beside the Dwarves.

The Hospitaller Knights are the guardians of the healing magic and are all trained in its art the are the most well funded knight order Fielding heavy cavalry and heavy infantry.

these men come from the Black Band company the largest mercenary force in Dragon-Fall though not as well equipped or trained as the regulars in the army these men can still provide good support fire. However they will not stand up against concentrated enemy attack.

Lightly armored but agile infantry wielding two handed Axes these men often take up arms as mercenaries when they are bored of farm work.

Black Band Sergeant Swordsmen



Lightly armored swordsmen in Brigantine armor carrying sturdy shields and swords made of sharp Dwarven steel.

Black Band Arbalestier



Armed with large Arbalests these men are cheaper to field than men armed with fire locks though it is harder to train a skilled Arbalestier they are indispensable for taking down heavily armored opponents.

Dwarves have Served in the armies of Dragon-fall since the Kingdoms creation Dwarves make up half the army.




Dwarven Infantry



The most common Dwarven unit they carry round shields and axes and wear lamellar or mail armor. Some are also known to wear studded leather tunics over a suit of mail.

These troops are more of a Knight order than a army unit the Dwarves led a great troll purge from the lands of Dragon-Fall the trolls are now a rare sight only usually seen in the high mountains in the far north of the kingdom. These men carry large shields and axes and are protected by heavy Dwarven steel scale armor.

Guardians of Belegost




Guardians of the Dwarven city of Belegost these men serve as heavy infantry equipped with Lamellar armor and large two handed axes.

Navy.

Dragon-Fall's Navy is vast and powerful its ships are equipped with heavy cannons and their wooden hulls are treated to resist rot and fire.


Defiant Class Galleon.



A three decked warship built from hardened Mallorn a rare wood that has nearly the strength of steel at half the weight, this heavy warship carries multiple heavy guns and has a crew armed with Arquebuses. Due to the rarity of Mallorn wood and the cost of the sips heavy guns only one exists it serves as the flagship of Dragon-Fall's navy.


Freedom Class Galleon



Smaller than the Defiant and carrying less fire power this ship is immensely more agile its guns are lighter but can make accurate shots at longer range it is the mainstay warship of the fleet and is the most common seen on patrol in thee waters.


Noble class Carrack



A lighter ship most commonly used to explore or trade these ships are the fastest and lightest armed ships of Dragon-Fall. this speed however allows them to out run anything they can not out gun with their cannons.
