Multiple RPs?

Is anybody here (with Q's permission of course) interested in having more then one RP running here? I think it'd be cool to have a space one (maybe Trek or Stargate or something) to balance out the fantasy element of the other one.

Thoughts, opinions, cookies?

Well, I don't know. Ex Nihilo is supposed to be getting a much larger sci-fi edge very soon here, it's just most of the characters and current "arenas" so to speak, are in the fantasy genre. That's kinda why I've been leaning towards Sci-fi characters, or a sci-fi/fantasy fusion, with a lot of my newer characters. I just need to make more story with them, is all...

Well, even then, I like the free roaming sort of universe Avalon offers to anything more established, such as stargate, or star wars. Something a little more... original. I'm not against the RP, but I'm already doing 2, so I kinda need this one to be attractive to, ya know, attract me.

You don't have to run it. I just think it might help activity and interest if there were more than one RP is all.

While I'd like to get more members for the Avalon RPG to increase its activity, if you can get me a general plan for this second rp, then I'll look over it and probably give it a seal of approval.

Cool, perhaps I'll try and come up with one tomorrow. In the meantime, what would others like to see? I say something from a pre-existing universe, I seem to have bad luck in getting ones going from universes unknown to everyone, yet I have amazing luck with ones like the Darkwing Continuum RP (which is loosely Trek based)

How are we to get more traffic through here?

If only we could have some kind of ad thing, I could put links to here in all my videos and download links and stuff for minecraft if that's okay with you guys

They didn't have a problem with me whoring out the link every which way, so I don't see them having a problem with you doing it.

What about a sci-fi RP that's still vastly unknown? For instance, if we looked at short-lived sci-fi shows that had promise? An example (but not one that I'm suggesting) would be Firefly. It lasted half a season, and it had a lot of unknown history, with a lot of freedom for border worlds, so we could do a lot of things with it, rather than being locked into an established universe that ran for over ten years, like with Star Trek.

Except just to be devil's advocate, look what I managed to do to the ST universe for DW:C.

Come to think of it, I have always wanted to try a Firefly RP, except have it from the perspective of the Alliance

It just dosen't seem like the kind of thing that will work i think it will either be pointless or to exact on what you have to do its very hard to find the middle between to directional and pointless and i don't think you will find the middle games like dungeons and dragons are hard to manipulate into other kinds of games like this one sorry but i don't think it will work also are you always in a space craft or do you get out sometimes and can you get into situations where you are being trapped/forced into a battle can you just fly awa.y it just wont work i think.

I'm definitely not saying it can't be done. You've accomplished a lot with it. I'm just saying that a shorter-running show gives us more freedom to establish what we want to. I'm willing to help come up with one, if you don't want to be the only person coming up with a Sci-fi RP.

Well you see, I'm more in the habit of taking a pre-existing universe and then making it my own. Again my example is DW:C, I mean, if you didn't know better, you'd say it wasn't Star Trek at all. And I've always been intrigued to see the other side of the coin, the Alliance is actually pretty unexplored story wise, even fan-fic focuses on the browncoats most of the time. Part of it is I never got the impression the Alliance was a clean cut villain. There were villainous things about some of their secret organizations, but they were also a utopian like government in some ways, I mean look at the core worlds. Everyone focuses on the atrocities of the outer worlds but I mean, the Alliance is simply an analogy for modern day Earth.

Anyways, on another note, shall think up of something (hopefully today). I am gonna try to avoid Star Trek, though that one always seems to work very well for people (and I'm not doing anything based on video games)

I promise to try and think up a new RP idea soon. Though part of my problem is I'm not sure what exactly this community really likes in an RP. Knowing that would help me come up with ideas that people would be more interested in playing
