Osama wasn't the brain behind the operation, he had a partner that planned all the attacks on the U.S. Instead, Osama was the one that provided the paper works, resources and such to make it sucessful and preceed accordingly.

His partner is still hiding somwhere in a Arabia, egypt or pakistan. Anway thats what i heard on the news. Doubt they are going to find him until next year though.

Thing with terrorists is, you kill one and there's two to replace them. Sort of like doing pest control really if you think about it

The fact is, a terrorist is just like any other sort of criminal, in that they're impossible to truly get rid of. there's no all encompassing organization, no surrender terms, no clearly defined base which you can attack. And that's why modern armies have trouble fighting them.

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try, and that we shouldn't celebrate our victories when we have them.

Sure, Osama Bin Laden's death won't mean the end of terrorism. But guess what? It's a good damn start. It won't end things. One act alone can't do that. But you don't place one rock in the road and say you've built a wall. You have to place hundreds of rocks there.

Except attacks of this sort have happened since the founding. As long as some people have a problem with america, or any other nation, what we now label "terrorism" will continue. It's like Murder, or any other crime, and they will never be eliminated.

Murder happens when a man is cornered in a way or another, Terroism is an act of just "idiots" bombarding whatever they want because of their bias belief. Terroism can be prevented, but murder can't.

Terrorism is merely an act of terror. There's always going to be some idiot who uses a pipe bomb in a public place. It doesn't have to be arab, it doesn't have to be part of an organization, it doesn't even have to happen in america, specifically. The act of terrorism is man's attempt to bring a society down, and that is something that will never be truly dealt with.

I'd be careful with your terminology as I wouldn't really classify them as idiots. See there was an interesting scene in the TV show Lost once that put it in an interesting perspective. If I find the time I'll youtube it and post it. See being an idiot is drinking pop. You know it's bad for you and you have no good reason to continue. Committing a terrorist act has a fair bit of planning, forethought and importantly, motivation/reason. Mind you I'm definitely not condoning it, but I'd be careful with your generalizations.

Well, that depends too. I remember reading an incident with an Arab firing an RPG, and killing the guys behind him with the backblast, ude to not knowing how to work one. The ones that are a true danger are the ones highlighted, but... Well, it's like youtube. There's a bunch of well written movies, with great graphics and the like, but there's also the youtube poop. The youtube poop's just not worth mentioning, is all.

Yeah, but again, that would be a case of ignorance and not idiocy per se. Soemthing I feel I should add to the murder statement made by Nemesis, is that murder doesn't always occur when someone is "cornered," some people simply do it for fun. Motivation for murder is an interesting thing really because there are so many different contributing factors to it to say that people murder simply because they're cornered is really only a very minor partial truth. At least I think so anyways

Well I'm essentially a grown up an don't have the faintest clue how to use any form of weaponry really. You have to remember, a lot of times, these are just ordinary people that came from ordinary lives

What you say are true, but im not buying any ignorance coming from adults that commit murder or terroism. Ordinary people really are "ordinary", they always have been.

There is no ignorance of the act, but ignorance of how to use some of the equipment is very common

oh, indeed. Terrorist is a broad term, and if you, for instance, said to yourself "I hate [insert country here] I wish to harm it and/or its citizens, and act on that, you have become a terrorist. Just as an example here, you may be aware of what you're doing, that doesn't mean your ability to do it, or plan for it, got any better. Heck, you don't even have to be an adult to become a terrorist, just look at the middle east, where there have been known to be groups in Arab countries that recruit minors, specifically, to stage terrorist attacks on Israel(And likely the other way 'round, too.)
