-Yokatashi Automata Research Facility, Taris-
An ancient XS stock light freighter touches down on a landing pad attached the simple-looking research facility. On a high-tech planet such as Taris, the ship stood out even from the landing pad itself, with an old red paint scheme that was well on it's way to peeling off.

A lone droid exits the shuttle, and heads into the facility.

*a old model Lambda class shuttle lands on the opposite pad a tall man with short brown hair wearing a suit of light power armor and carrying an ion rifle, a pair of ion blasters and a bandoleer of grenades disembarks and heads inside the facility*

In a flicker of psuedospace, William's sleek Aurora fighter appears. It has lighted strips on the sides (Think of TRON) and engines that seem to be too large but strangely fit inside the fighter. After the few seconds it takes William to regain his bearings from Hyperspace travel, the fighter engages it's engines and shoots down towards Taris.

A blue shuttle drops out of warpspace in the Ultra Vires Star system and requests a berth and to speak with someone about the possibility of an alliance.

The shuttle is greeted by the Sovereignty Flight Control branch, and is given permission and instructions to land on the surface of the planet, within Imperial City limits. During the shuttle's descent toward the surface, it is escorted by two automated starfighters, while it is also scanned by sensor stations orbiting the planet for any illegal or explosive weaponry. Once landed, the diplomat is informed that housing has been made, and that it may take some time for a meeting with a High Sovereignty or the Senatorial Courts, due to recent election issues.

An old and ragged Carrack-class, the Determinant, jumped into realspace over Csilla. Her crew was mostly made up of Imperial conscripts from Bastion, and were none to happy to be carry an arrogant, or so they thought, Baitish envoy from the Foreign Ministry. "Lieutenant, if your master thinks we're going to be impressing anyone with this old bucket, I must disagree," the envoy, Atrum Visu said to the ship's captain as he stared out the view port to a long frozen planet before. "Perhaps, but if you speak that way to the Chiss not only will we not impress anyone but get run out of here with the CDF on our tail," he responded not without a hint of resentment, before turning to the bridge crew and issuing orders. The crew sends its IFF codes and a message to Chiss ground control, they shortly receive landing permissions and the Determinant quickly sets down in the capital, Csaplar.

The envoy and four Naval Infantrymen disembarked from the Carrack and exchanged pleasantries with the Chiss honour huard waiting for them. They are led to the House Palace and await a meeting with the head of the Nuruodo family.

*With a thirst for more worlds, Zerg fleets arrive wthin the Circarpous Major, Atrig, Kalinda, Lazerian, Pii, Colu, Iotran, Ruusan, Zug, and Doornik-628 systems, the hordes of Zerg positioning to infest all of the worlds swiftly.*

The ship has modest weaponry suitable for fighting off pirates but nothing out of the ordinary for a shuttle. The ship has powerful shields, heavy armor and oversized engines enabling it to survive and flee most attacks that outclass it. The diplomat says he will wait if necessary and retires to his chambers i the housing unit.

*With a command from their Cerebrate, The infestation commenced within the Circarpous Major, Ruusan, Doornik-628, Zug, and Atrig systems, the many Zerg strains slaying the inhabitants in their way and allow Hive Clusters to grow unhindered. The fleets at the other 5 systems hold their position.*

Novorossiysk Russia’s naval base in the black sea. the black sea fleet had been harried and harassed for months by corsairs from the Barbary States and Privateers from the Ottoman Empire. Merchant vessels had been seized and the entire black sea fleet was tasked with escorting trade convoys throughout the black sea. The Russian monarch had decided to hire a group of skilled privateers to take a stand against these pirates. Captain Dimitri Roach formerly of the Russian navy was chosen to lead this venture using the coin he was given he hired three renown privateers from around Europe. From what he had heard they were the best in the world they would need to be to survive this venture. Dimitri entered the tavern and sat down at the table where they were to meet he ordered a pint of ale, leaned his musket against the wall and waited. Dimitri Roach was an average sized and looking man with black hair and a thick mustache. He wore an old well worn green Russian military top coat. He bore a pair of ornate flint lock pistols and a scimitar; He had a patch over his left eye. His pint arrived and he took a drink as he looked over the manifest of cargo being loaded onto his ship.

Rau and Maiza entered the tavern.

"Tender, give me whatever's strongest..." Rau said exhaling a fume of smoke

"Will do" the tender answered while mixing drinks

"Rau, i don't like this contract, we don't even know what were shipping..." Maiza says while eyeing the few shady characters present.

"It's the best coin I'd ever seen I don't care if were shipping the queen of England or her finest enemy, hell i don't care if its dead bodies, but this kind of money buys us new masts and fine rums from the carribean." rau replys as the bar stool sinks from his weight

"I know...but all of those come at a price; i just wonder if this contract is to hefty of one for us to take..." Maiza say while moving a sleeping drunk from the chair next to rau

The black liquor arrived in a greenish bottle, it stunk the room up with ethanol as soon as it was opened

"Only take a sip or so, it's as bad as moonshine..." the tender say while cleaning a mug

"I just wish i knew who to meet for this [censored] thing...it just says meet in this tavern...nothing else..." Maiza said while trying to get the tenders attention

"Then I guess we wait..." Rau said taking a small shot of the vile black liquor.

Several hours later, the envoy and the Chiss are meeting in a very cramped room with limited lighting. Visu was not sure if that was how all Chiss rooms were off if this one was special, but he felt rather put off by it even thus he pushed forward with the talks. "Your Excellency, I represent the United Colonies and the Galactic and wish to put forth a most epic proposal," the envoy spake after giving appropriate greeting and bows.

"Oh? and what might that be?" the Chiss said sounding highly skeptical.

"The union government wishes to offer the Ascendancy entry as a third and equal partner. This would bring you protective and economic benefits, you would be able to trade with the galaxy as a whole while maintaining a relatively isolationist stance."

"Although I, as a steadfast Chiss, heartily disapprove of this, I shall put before the Cabinet and Parliament," he took a bow and left.

Captain Karl Wichtoff, presently on extended leave from Her Imperial Majesty's navy, swaggers in through the door of the tavern and sets himself down next to Captain Roach. He is a man of stocky build, tall and broad, he posses imposing physical attributes but when he hails his fellow Captain he speaks in a meek voice that is simultaneously deep and quiet.

Roach welcomed Captain Wichtoff and asked the waitress to direct the English captain at the bar to his table.

The brothel wench addressed Rau as he took the 4th sip from his drink

"those guys want you" she says taking a mouthful of his drink then proceeding to fall to the floor unconscious

"I said only have sip at a time..." the tender says while cleaning another mug



"Are you the one were supposed to meet for the contract?" rau says while Maiza orders a keg of rum for everyone.

The Imperial Sovereignty sends orders to the military to commence expansion protocols. The first target are the stars of Piram, Alpha through Epsilon to be precise. Their orders are to annex inhabitants through diplomacy, if possible, via conquering, if necessary. Failure not being an option.

Six other factions whose names and leaders are not set-up yet due to procrastination begin their respective expansion protocols into systems that shall be named later.

"Indeed pull up a chair and we shall get to business. I shall be frank this is a dangerous contract. As you may have heard if have been in these waters long the Ottoman privateers and Corsairs from the Barbary coast have been wreaking havoc on Russian ship in the black sea. The Tsar has given me leave to hire the best i can find that you to find their base of operations and stop them. We have no doubt that the Ottomans are Working with the Corsairs but we need proof and while in process of finding that proof we are encouraged to give the Turks a taste of their own medicine." Roach paused and took a swig of his ale before continuing.

"That's why i sent for you Rau we need a ship to haul our booty back here to Novorossiysk. Karl i asked for you because you are considered one of the best in the Austrian navy. And i also hired a Spanish Privateer who will join us later any questions?"

"Only one, the contract says 50 000 English pounds in whatever bank of my choice, is that a fake number?" he says pouring a shot of rum for everyone.

"I have one myself" maiza said while pushing the shot glass away

"Is that man over there eying us a friend or something? he seems to be paying a close amount of attention to us..." he said pointing to him with the direction of his eyes

"Yes, one question: when do we make way?" Karl responds, and waves away the drink with muttered 'no, thank you.'

"we shall leave when our Spanish friend arrives but to another manner. I do not know that man he looks like a filthy Turk to me and i don't like his face." Roach rose from the table one of his pistols drawn.

The Turk jumped up along with several around the room all drawing blades.

"seems they will let any one into these places these days." Roach scoffed at the Turk

"Yes they let you in here after all" the Turk said. Those were his final words roach squeezed the trigger and with a flash and a cloud of smoke the Turk fell to the ground with a hole in his head. The other Turks charged Roach drew his blade.

Karl sighed, muttering "I see this contract is starting off well," before drawing a rapier and moving to attack the Turks.

"Jesus christ! You didn't have to shoot the bastard! We could've dealt with this outside!" Maiza grabbed a bar table as a shield and threw a small knife into the neck of one of the turks.

The blood spilled on the ground and the brothel whore got up and screamed and ran to the doors as it seemd to be the popular thing to do in the cavern when a fight broke out.

"Relax Maiza" Rau said while shooting one in the hand causing him to drop his sword and lighting his pipe with a match.

"It was a reflex you don't grow up a Cossack and not look for excuses to kill Turks!"

Roach shot another Turk with his second pistol and gutted another with his scimitar. He sheathed his sword and grabbed his musket off the wall and shot another Turk he then flipped the weapon around and used it to club another over the head.

"There is no reason for there to be this many Turks in Novorossiysk they must be privateers here to scope out prey."
