Scientific Advancement (Tech):

Scientific Advancement determines your nation’s overall tech level in the game. This, in turn, determines how powerful an individual unit in your army potentially is, as well as other random rp elements you might add. Generally, all nations are set to a rating of 100 minimum in the Quick Resolve system.

Below 100: Basic Infantry and light tanks.

At a rank of 100+, nations have access to baseline units such as infantry, light and medium vehicles, and so on. No mechs, lasers, railguns, heavy tanks, etc are available yet.

At a rank of 150+, nations can have access to heavier vehicle designs for their army, such as the famous Mammoth Tank.

At a rank of 200+, nations can have access to lightweight mech designs and upgraded vehicles.

At a rank of 250+, nations can have access to medium-weight mech designs, vehicle designs, and equally advanced weaponry and armor. (Railguns for heavy vehicles available.)

At a rank of 300+, nations can have access to heavyweight mech and vehicle designs beyond the original limitations of before. (Weapons like lasers and higher-end stuff start to become a reality at this point, but not widely distributed.)

At a rank of 350+, high-tech weaponry such as lasers and plasma become more available for use within the military. This is the cap for fearsome weaponry to be fielded, we won't go beyond this point to unlock something absurd like anti-matter and such.

Defense Forces (Military Forces Capacity):

Defense Forces determines your overall military capacity (not your production capacity). It is your ability to wage war, and how many units you can commit to reinforcing your armies so that they can invade, defend, or otherwise be ready for warfare at all times. It is also used to determine your power status and standing army limit, making it an important basic stat for overall warfare.

Invading armies require at least 10 points to invade most normal provinces, 20 points to invade a coastal province from another nearby coastal province, and 40 points to invade a national capital province. How you spend your military forces capacity during war is entirely up to you, and you may reinforce your armies at any time. Just be wary that if you run your capacity dry, you must wait 12 hours to regenerate a set amount as determined by your economy score.

All nations will have a minimum capacity of 25, even if their NS stat is lower than that.

Economy Score:

Your economy is your lifeline, the production capacity for your nation, and the means by which it supports itself. A strong economy and production is important to quickly regain your troops and maintain supply lines, new and old. Without a strong economy, your war will stop dead in its tracks and it’d be impossible to invade another nation or bring troops to your own nation’s defense. Your economy stat is determined by combining your Manufacturing Sector with your Agricultural Sector. All nations have a minimum rank of 5, even if they score lower.

Every 12 hours, your Defense Forces regenerate by the rank of your economy stat. Therefore, your economy determines how often you can invade or defend, and how much you have if you’ve exhausted your capacity beforehand. This is a very important stat.

However, during peacetime, your economy score is decreased by 50%. Upon declaring war against an opponent, your economy score will only be decreased by 25%, and then the next day after the declaration, your economy score will be at full. This is an effort to simulate the idea that your industries are adapting for wartime production.

Power status & Power score:

Every nation has a power status rank, and that is the basis of your Influence Score. To determine your power status, you need to add your Defense Forces score, your Scientific Advancement score, and your economy score x10. Negatives apply, and it is entirely possible to end up with a negative score if you are not careful. Furthermore, the minimum stats that would normally apply in gameplay do not apply in determining your power score. For example, having an economy score of 2, when regenerating troops, it would automatically be set to the minimum of 5. However, when determining your power score, it will be 2 x 10, not 5 x 10. Keep this in mind, as you are responsible for providing the formula to show your work and the score on a regular basis.

Here is an example of a Power score submission:

xDF + xTech + (xEcon * 10) = xScore
120 + 110 + (4 * 10) = 270 <--- This is your power score

Now that you have your power score, and have submitted it to an administrator to update the leaderboard, you should compare your score on the leaderboard. There are three categories to keep in mind, the Player Main nations, the Player Secondary nations, and the Non-Playable Nations. The top four scoring nations in the first category are Great Powers, while the next four are Secondary Powers. All remaining are Tertiary powers. For the second category, only the top four nations are considered Secondary Powers. For the third and final category, the top two scoring nations are Great Powers, while the next two are Secondary Powers.

Great Powers receive a base influence score of 15. Secondary Powers receive a base influence score of 10. Tertiary Powers receive a base influence score of 5.

Influence:

Influence is a powerful stat designed to affect world politics. It is especially useful for those being invaded, or those wishing to puppeteer others to fight amongst themselves. It is capable of affecting other nations without armed intervention, essentially, and all nations have access to this ability.

It's also easy to calculate.

Your Civil Influence is used when you are defending against other nations. It is not used when defending against bloc members switching to other spheres, or anything of that sort.

Diplomatic Influence is used when you are attacking or influencing other nations. It is also used when fighting to keep control of sphere or bloc members.

In both cases, your influence stats + the bonus you get from your power status is your total influence in either category. Simple, right?
