I'm a 3d modeler, beginner, and I wanted to check out the site due to my love of Sci-Fi. I hope
this is an ok place to show off some pictures. I won't spam with images
so I'll just show you my favor 3d sci-fi related ones

Note: None are Textured! I haven't progressed that far in my skills yet


A Defense Monitor from Warhammer 40,000's, Battlefleet Gothic. A Work In
Progress (WIP), but nearing completion. It's was my first Ambient Occlusion (AO) Render. The following models won't have the same shading as this one will as I didn't know AO when I did them >__<'


My Dalek Model; lost to my Desktops System 32 meltdown. I should be able
to get it back with a Live CD, but I've yet to get around and download
things

Well it looks a bit rubbery...Anim8or?

that's the AO, it actually makes it look more like clay, and anim8or doesn't do that. Due to me checking his DA page, he's a lightwave user, very nice, very nice indeed.

The latest model is the first one; the ship, a Defense Monitor from 40ks Battlefleet Gothic. It isn't yet complete and it's all I'm focused on lately. So I'll post up my work as it come in

I'm having some trouble find a turret selection. I'm thinking a mix if the upper and lower right. The original one is the upper left and it's WAAAY to Space Marine for an Imperial Guard ship. The lower left I consider a failed attempt of a Imperial Cannon. The lower right one is still a WIP

As you can see I'm given a LOT of creative license when designing it due to it's lack of detail and other reference images
